| Grand Pass Trail (Upper)
Olympic National Park
Sep 2006
This high ridge walk of a trail begins at Obstruction Point, in Olympics National Park. Obstruction Park is accessed via the road to the Hurricane Ridge Visitor Center.
The trail leads steeply down to three lakes after a 1-1/2 - 2 mile hike along a relatively level ridge. Views from this ridge are expansive, looking west towards Mount Olympus and the Baily Range, north towards the Strait of Juan de Fuca, and east towards Everett WA and the North Cascade crestline.
It is a relatively easy hike and was crowded even for a post Labor Day Thursday afternoon.
